Paramount Skydance Plans to Remove Around 2,000 US Jobs – Report
Skydance Paramount will begin significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, removing nearly 2,000 American roles as part of a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn led by CEO David Ellison.
The layoffs follow the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized this past August valued at $8.4bn.
More international job cuts are likely, as the firm aiming to disclose all specifics during its third quarter earnings report scheduled for November 10.
Previous updates suggested that Paramount planned to eliminate between 2,000 and 3,000 positions by early November.
Until December 2024, the company employed almost 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 temporary project employees.
The organization did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
