"I've attended this celebration for the last nine years," commented 25-year-old a participant.
"In my view, the celebration symbolizes my cultural background, it demonstrates the dignity and greatness of my ethnic group."
Men, women, the elderly and the younger generation all participate, adorned in eye-catching attire and ornaments.
They vocalize, move rhythmically, tell tales and deposit newly gathered foliage and floral arrangements in water - representing vitality, regeneration and aspiration.
Worldwide Participation
The celebration brings in individuals from across Ethiopia, guests come from around the world.
"I came the previous year - the experience was amazing, so magnificent, I invited my offspring with me currently," mentioned an international guest, hailing from abroad.
"It's incredible. Everyone greets you, each person shows warmth and offers greetings."
Celebration Schedule
